Chef Randy Duncan is a highest-honors graduate of Houston Community College. Achieving an Associate Degree in the Culinary Arts, and a Bachelor Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, from the Conrad N. Hilton College and The University of Houston. Earning Phi Theta Kappa & Dean’s List recognitions.
Chef Duncan and his wife Sylvia Duncan, are currently doing Pop-Ups in the Katy area, focusing on Full-Service Catering, On-Site Food Truck or Trailer Smoker, and Local Deliveries. Chef Duncan has spent over 25 years working in upscale kitchens across Houston. The Four Seasons Hotel, House of Blues, and the Omni Hotel Westside, to name a few. During this time, he gathered the training and hands-on experience working under Master Chefs to pursue his own Catering business in 2017, Daddy Duncan’s BBQ.
Chef Duncan learned the Low & Slow techniques of Central Texas Style Barbecue from his Grandpa Duncan from an early age, and proudly continues his Grandfather’s legacy. Chef Duncan’s BBQ Team, is highly-trained professionals in all aspects of the hospitality industry. Daddy Duncan’s BBQ offers Full-Service Catering for Weddings, Corporate Events, Charities, Church & School, and Family Functions.
Randy and Sylvia continue to strive for excellence bringing Craft Texas Barbecue to Katy and surrounding areas. Daddy Duncan’s BBQ takes pride in their Smoked USDA Prime Briskets, hands-down the crowd favorite and sure to please any palate. The flavors of Chef Duncan’s culinary training shine with his Smoked Pork Belly Mac & Cheese, Hand-Made Sausages & Pickled Onions, Smoked & Braised Barbacoa, Dr. Pepper Oxtails, Smoked Duroc Pork Ribs, and Dino Beef Ribs.
